You lot did not direct answer the lady's question. It looks to me like, for now, the answer must be yeah: she and I will both be stuck with an outdated production (Surface ii). In my experience, Windows 8.1RT is substandard even compared with Windows 7, and has been the cause of a peachy deal of buyer'due south remorse for me in the last year, considering of its reliance on shop apps (many of which do non be) and inability to run many standard executable programs for Windows. I had been hoping that Windows 10 might solve these issues, particularly since I accept observed that a 'tablet mode' exists within the main Os (though of form I cannot use it on my other computers that do non have touch screens!)
